PROMISE #260 - SEPTEMBER 17
Promise #260:
I carry your burdens every day.
Psalm 68:19 WEB
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens,
even the God who is our salvation. Selah.
I am thankful that our God promises to save us and continually bear our burdens. When we feel the world's weight on our shoulders, may this promise encourage us that we are not called to carry the burdens ourselves. May we constantly be reminded of Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28-30, which says...
28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (WEB)
If you are carrying a backpack full of worry and anxiety today, I encourage you to cast every care in that backpack onto your Father’s big, strong, shoulders because He cares about you! (1 Peter 5:7)
