PROMISE #182 - JULY 1
Promise #181:
I made the heavens by My Word and I breathed the stars into existence.
Psalm 33:6 (WEB)
By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made;
all their army by the breath of his mouth.
Our God and Father is so big that He created the heavens just by a word! He is so powerful that just a breath from His mouth caused all the stars to come into being. When you think of this promise, take time to reflect on the bigness of our God!
So often, in the busyness of life, we get caught up in our own struggles and the mountains that we face daily. When I think of this promise, I gain a greater perspective than my own experience. Though the mountains in my life are big, my God is much bigger! Though there are times when I feel overwhelmed by the orphan world system that I live in, I am encouraged when I think about the greatness of our God!
He is so powerful that He took a breath, and the stars came into being. If that is the case, then I know He is strong enough to save you and me (Zephaniah 3:17). No matter how impossible your circumstances are today, be encouraged that the God who created the heavens and the earth is your heavenly Dad.
He is for you, not against you. May God help each one of us to rest in the amazing knowledge of His greatness today and His promise to care for everyone who belongs to Him.
***
Responsive Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for being much bigger than any challenge I will face today. Please remind me that even though you have breathed every star into existence, you still took the time to number every hair on my head. So today, I choose to cast every one of my cares onto your big, strong shoulders because I know you care for me.
