PROMISE #323 - NOVEMBER 19
Promise #323:
I will be your safe place in difficult times.
Nahum 1:7 (WEB)
Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble;
and he knows those who take refuge in him.
The NIV Bible says Nahum 1:7 this way... The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him. Ecclesiastes says there is a season for all things, so there is no escaping the fact that we will all have difficult times. Jesus reminded us in John 16:33 that though we will have trouble in this world, we can take heart because He has overcome the world.
In today's promise, we are reminded that because the Lord is good and cares for those who trust in Him, He will be our refuge in times of trouble. He will be our stronghold, safe place, and haven of rest amid the storm. No matter what comes our way, we can trust in this promise to sustain us.
So today, I pray that we would all be comforted by this promise and choose to live in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91) so that He might be our refuge in times of trouble.

Responsive Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my refuge and strong tower during times when I need shelter from life's storms. Help me stay aware of Your promise to be my safe place in tough times, so I will be quick to seek refuge and find security in the shadow of my Heavenly Father, any time, day or night.
