 Promise #272: You have an everlasting inheritance reserved in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:3-4 (WEB) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you, There are many uncertain things in this world, but our everlasting inheritance is NOT one of them. Our God and our Father has secured an incorruptible, undefiled inheritance that will never fade away for everyone who has received the free gift of His Son's life. No matter how unstable things become around you, you can bank on this promise to be unshakeable! Because of the abundant mercy of the Triune God, we can hope in a special place in heaven that is reserved just for us! It is more certain than the ground you are standing on now. In His great love, God has expressed His abundant mercy to us through the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus! When times get tough, and the near future looks bleak, may we lift up our eyes to see the amazing future that is in store for us. May we be filled with hope, knowing that you really are our faithful Father and He has given us an incorruptible inheritance that will never fade away! *** Responsive Prayer: Father, thank You that I am Your beloved child, Your heir, and a joint heir with Jesus. Help me remember this when the clouds obscure my vision of my heavenly identity in Christ. The truth is that I can rest in the promise of eternal life secured for me by Your beloved Son.
