Promise #112: Ask Me for wisdom and I will generously give it to you. James 1:5 (WEB) But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. God loves it when we ask Him for what we need. In Matthew 7:7-11, Jesus encourages us to continue asking, seeking, and knocking, assuring us that our Heavenly Father will provide what we need. In today's promise, we learn that we can request wisdom from God, and He is eager to grant it to us. We all need wisdom to navigate life. So, what wisdom do you require today that you do not yet possess? The New International Version Bible presents James 1:5 this way: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Simply ask your Heavenly Father for the wisdom you need, and He will generously provide it without finding fault in your request. God is a good Father who gives wonderful gifts to His children. Indeed, every good and perfect gift comes from Him, for He is the Father of Lights (James 1:17). My prayer is that we all turn to our Heavenly Father for heavenly wisdom, knowing that He is ready, willing, and able to generously provide all the wisdom we need when we need it. *** Responsive Prayer: Father, thank you for being so generous with the wisdom you share when I simply ask for it. I know that you understand me and my circumstances far better than I do, so today I seek your wisdom to lead and guide me in all truth. Help me to be bold when I ask, knowing that you are a good Father who loves to answer your children’s prayers. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. Read our other daily posts...
